In our nightmares, more like. Played only 6 GAMES THIS SEASON!! Would only make sense if he accepts less cash than Collins and brings his wheelchair and crutches for Carroll to borrow. Great player once, but fucked now. Surely.

Is there an over 40's league we could join. Ext coub advert "Calling all day trippers... Come and see the historic relics washed on the banks of the Olympic Park".
We'll even throw in some shit championship players to show you really how not to run a football club to succeed. Instead we'll just go through another marketing excercise to attract new day trippers to ser these washed up players, sit, clap and buy there popcorn and ben&jerrys.
Whilst they talk about signing Hart, Lukaku and other relevant talents who won't even give West Ham a second thought. They'll be trying and failing to snap up Roonrey and Kompany and Zabaleta. Should they even manage to get any of them they will be paying massively over the odds in wages for a player who is winding down their career with nothing left to player for other than the money.

Even if it wasn't for the fact he is completely shot physically we already have four relatively decent players in that position plus Kouyate and Oxford so not a position we need cover unless the idea is to play him at right back!

If he can be persuaded to sign for us, its definitely worth taking a gamble on. Yeah his recent injury record is awful, but when fit he's got a shout to be the best defender in the league. And only just turned 31. And a born leader.
All over this, if it were remotely true.
